Role Overview:
Paralel is seeking a Legal Analyst to join our Legal team. The right candidate will be able to provide ongoing legal support for a variety of mutual fund, exchange-traded fund and closed-end fund clients, as well as support the operations of the firm’s registered investment adviser’s compliance program. This position follows a hybrid work schedule based out of our Denver, CO office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing legal and compliance support to internal teams, clients, and other business partners.
- Serve as a primary client contact, overseeing the day-to-day legal operations of client funds.
- Prepare and manage SEC regulatory filings, including Forms N-1A, N-2, N-CSR, N-PX, and DEF 14A.
- Support fund board meetings by preparing materials, attending meetings, and drafting minutes.
- Assist with the registered investment adviser compliance program, including maintaining policies, procedures, and regulatory calendars.
- Monitor regulatory developments from the SEC, FINRA, and other agencies and communicate relevant updates.
- Conduct legal research, compile data, guide team members, and contribute expertise through leadership opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent work experience.
- At least one year of relevant experience in investment management, corporate governance, 1940 Act compliance, securities, or matters involving the Investment Company Act or Investment Advisers Act preferred.
- Familiarity with investment industry terminology or a willingness to learn.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with clients and diverse internal and external audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning new technology.
- Ability to collaborate effectively while independently managing projects with minimal supervision.
Compensation Range:
$80,000 – $120,00
Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
